Optimisation of electromagnetic systems through multiphysics simulation

The restructuring of our grid infrastructure driven by megatrends such as sustainability and electromobility requires the optimisation of all grid components: Generators, busbars, cables, shielding, transformers, circuit breakers, energy storage and much more. All of these systems are highly complex. Electromagnetic and multiphysics simulation and optimisation in COMSOL Multiphysics can help to reliably predict and improve the behaviour of grid components, minimise the number of prototypes and development cycles and guarantee compliance with standards.

Grid transparency as a prerequisite for planning and control in low voltage

In order to understand the processes in the low voltage, it is essential to establish grid transparency on NE 5 and 7. The basic prerequisites and data requirements are analysed. Based on this, both future scenarios and management strategies can be developed. The latter must increasingly be generated automatically and become effective directly in the grid.
