Produce solar power and make a profit even without your own roof
Producing solar power pays off - for the environment and also financially. It's not just homeowners who can benefit. Thanks to the Solarify.ch crowdfinancing platform, over 1500 people across Switzerland are already producing energy on other people's roofs and generating a sustainable return.
ince 2023, 1,200 solar panels on the Kastanienpark in Oberdiessbach have been producing as much electricity annually as is consumed by around 90 Swiss households. This solar installation was not financed by Kastanienpark itself, however, but by more than 100 people from all over Switzerland. They participated in the project by purchasing individual panels via the crowdfinancing platform Solarify.ch, making this project possible in the first place.
As panel owners, they now receive their share of the electricity yields every three months and thus make a small profit. Even without their own roof, they have become part of the energy transition in a very tangible and profitable way and can now call themselves solar power producers. And the best thing about it: everything was very straightforward for them with just a few clicks on the Internet and without any further effort. Solarify takes care of everything, from planning and installing to insuring and operating the system, as well as marketing the electricity.
The project in Oberdiessbach is just one of over 100 solar projects that Solarify has implemented throughout Switzerland since 2016 with its citizen participation model. Over 23,000 solar panels have already been sold via Solarify.ch and more than 1,500 private individuals and companies in Switzerland are now producing electricity with their own panels at a Solarify solar plant.
