Forecasts for energy and efficiency over the past 20 years
Forecasts regarding energy flows, consumption and production are becoming increasingly important and are at the heart of energy strategy. At Girsberger Informatik AG, we have over 20 years’ experience with forecasting systems.
Using SILOVEDA® forecasting tools and the LOADMAP® forecasting service, we produce short-, medium- and long-term forecasts for electricity, gas, heat, water or combinations thereof. These forecasts are used by our customers to improve planning for purchasing and sales, to ensure structured procurement, to minimise balancing energy costs, to optimise in-house production, to avoid power peaks (peak shaving), for minute-by-minute photovoltaic forecasts and for much more.
LOADMAP® forecasting function from the cloud
Introduced in 2003 and continuously developed ever since, LOADMAP® is a service we offer for precise energy forecasts with high availability. LOADMAP® produces forecasts for electricity, gas and district heating demand for energy suppliers, as well as for drinking water consumption. The system takes regional weather forecasts into account and delivers daily – including at weekends and on public holidays – load or production profiles for the coming ten days. This highly reliable service is ideally suited to municipal and regional utilities seeking to achieve hassle-free and efficient production or procurement planning. LOADMAP® forecasting functions from the Azure cloud are now available for SILOVEDA® and customer portals for medium-term (weeks to months) and long-term (up to several years) forecasts, as shown schematically below:

SILOVEDA® Forecasting – Toolkit for smart modelling
As a SILOVEDA® customer, would you like to create and manage the forecasts yourself? In this case, your SILOVEDA® measurement and energy data management system can be easily expanded with the SILOVEDA® Forecasting Tools module. This module provides function blocks for forecasting models that require no programming or mathematical knowledge. For unlimited modelling, additional functions and mathematical suites such as Matlab, Python or R can be integrated and utilised. This allows you to build, integrate and/or automate models and mathematical functions of any complexity.
