Meter plug-in terminal Made in Switzerland
Development, plastic injection molding and final assembly in Switzerland, metal contacts from Germany: thanks to its innovative design, the eweco plug-in terminal is for the most part produced in Switzerland.
The developers at eweco, based in Pfffikon ZH, designed their plug-in terminal so that it can also be produced cost-effectively in Switzerland: compared to other terminals, it consists of only half as many components – thanks to a patented spring contact. The plastic housing is manufactured using injection molding in Switzerland. The final assembly is also carried out by the same producer in Switzerland. The contacts are produced in Germany – in a factory that manufactures for the automotive industry and is accustomed to correspondingly high quality standards.

With the plug-in terminal, contact is made with the meter via spring terminals rather than via screw contacts. This means there is no risk of the installer inserting a non-insulated screwdriver or forgetting to tighten a contact. To ensure that the spring terminals work reliably for decades, they are made of high-quality material.

eweco is a manufacturer of meter terminals that has been successfully offering a terminal with a rated current of 80 A or 100 A on the Swiss market since 2021. The plug-in terminal has been on the market since 2022 and is popular with Swiss electric utilities because all live parts are protected against contact during the replacement process.
