The Camugnano/Brasimone research center is one of the most important national and international sites for:
- Magnetic nuclear fusion technologies
- Heavy metal technologies in the nuclear sector (Generation IV Lead-cooled Fast Reactors – LFR)
- Development and qualification of innovative materials
- Environmental radiometry
