100 years of expertise in the low and medium voltage sector

Hirschthal, May 2026 – For 100 years, the Hirschthal site has stood for the highest quality and technical competence in energy transmission. Today, this many years of experience flows into a comprehensive range of low and medium voltage products – for both AC and DC applications.

In Hirschthal, current and voltage instrument transformers for a wide range of applications have been developed and manufactured alongside high-voltage products for a century. Whether split-core current transformers or closed cores, insulated or non-insulated primary conductors: the solutions are consistently geared towards individual customer requirements.

A large part of the portfolio meets current IEC standards and thus reliably covers the standard business. In addition, the company supplies the railway industry, among others, and offers current instrument transformer solutions certified by Scanrail. Customer-specific designs are just as much a part of everyday life as the development of special casting molds, retrofit projects and tailor-made special solutions.

Another central advantage of the Hirschthal site is the six modern testing laboratories, in which AC voltage tests up to 700 kV, including partial discharge measurements, can be carried out. All laboratories are ISO/IEC accredited – as an ILAC member, the site guarantees internationally recognized test results.

The close integration of engineering, development, production and the testing laboratory enables efficient project handling and short communication channels. This allows an exceptionally wide spectrum of low and medium instrument transformers to be realized flexibly and economically.
