Anyone who wants to shape the energy future must clearly name today’s realities. Accordingly, the Energiezukunft meets Energy Startup Day 2026 conference on 19 November puts current areas of tension centre stage. Under the motto “30 Startups. 8 Impulses. One Energy Future.”, renowned experts will discuss technologies, industrial policy, security of supply, costs, dependencies and societal acceptance. Particular attention will be given to the new debate on nuclear energy and China’s role in the energy transition.
The day opens with a keynote from LONGi Solar, the world’s largest manufacturer of solar panels, followed by insights into investment models for large battery storage systems. Three startup pitch blocks featuring a total of 30 young companies will showcase innovations from across the energy technology spectrum. Further topics include alpine solar power plants, Agri-PV, modern reactor technologies, commercial aspects of nuclear energy, and the role of data, algorithms and AI in the energy system. The day concludes with a practical report from energieUri, the only Swiss utility currently implementing projects in hydropower, wind, solar and storage at the same time.
