Semax AG was founded in 2011 by Severin Fischer.
With the Ensor Smart Meter eRS 801 and eRS 301, Semax has developed the latest generation of Swiss electricity meters and is the only company in Switzerland to manufacture data security-certified smart meters.
This success confirms the appeal of the concept and proves that smart meters can be developed and manufactured in Switzerland. Semax AG now employs over 100 staff in Switzerland
across the fields of electronics and software engineering, project management, logistics, administration and production. The two production sites in Cham and Steinhausen (ZG)
are being continuously modernised and further developed. For example, with the second production site in Steinhausen opening in early 2024, the production area was doubled and logistics capacity expanded.
Thanks to numerous projects in Switzerland, the modular design of the Ensor Smart Meter has firmly established itself in the market.
