Qaptis Sàrl

Kurzbeschreibung

Qaptis offers a CO2 capture kit that can reduce up to 90% of CO2 emissions from any heavy vehicles (trucks, mobile machines, ships) with limited energy penalty.

Über uns

The next 7 years is the humanity's best window to enact bold, transformational changes in our global economy to avoid raising global temperature above 1.5°C (source: IPCC).

What is the problem with the freight industry?

Heavy-duty vehicles - in particular trucks - are facing a significant challenge on the road to decarbonization: proposed low-emission solutions are technologically uncertain, costs are very high, and new infrastructure must be redesigned and rebuilt. Faced with so much uncertainty and deployment time, truck owners and operators are risk-averse, leading them back to the status quo.

How can we solve this problem ?

We offer a Plug&Play solution to capture 90% of carbon emissions from the exhaust of heavy-duty vehicles. The Qaptis CO2 capture kit is simple, low-cost and can be installed on existing trucks. In other words, we offer operators the opportunity to start decarbonizing now, in a de-risked approach.

Who are we ?

The Qaptis technology was developed at the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL) in Switzerland.

Theodore Caby (role: CEO) has a MSc in Energy Systems with minor in Entrepreneurship. He is a hard worker and adaptive having worked in a multicultural environment (Japan, Taïwan, Argentina). He is enthusiastic about sport and building connections with people.

Dr Masoud Talebi Amiri (role: CTO) has more than a decade of experience in building sustainable chemical processes. He has contributed to the technology development of several spin-offs at EPFL (e.g., Bloom). Masoud is also passionate about entrepreneurship and geopolitics.

Dr. Yves Loerincik (role: COO) is an experienced and successful entrepreneur. He founded Quantis (around 250 employees) and sits on the board of directors. He brings his vision and network built over its +20 years’ experience in sustainability.

Our scientific advisory board includes François Maréchal (Professor at EPFL) and Shivom Sharma (EPFL collaborator) who support the operational team on academic scientific aspects.
